After 25 years of
experience - we have taken what we’ve learned
designing Paintball Parks, and we like to think
that we’ve mastered it! The result of all that
experience is this one location - T.A.G.
Paintball here Hollister CA. Our Park is so
realistic, accurate, and diverse that Police,
SWAT, and Tactical Law Enforcement Teams from
all over the world use our facility for
training!
At any given time
we have 12 - 15 courses… 8 of them are
EXCLUSIVE, and not found anywhere else in
Northern/Central California… except for here at
TAG. Our more popular paintball fields are the
Close Quarter Battlefield (CQB), WWI Trench
Field, Fire Bases, Desert Dunes, and XO… our
manmade course featuring lost of places to hide
and strategize. Our staging area has over 20
picnic tables and benches under 4,000 sq/ft of
open air roofing, to shade from the elements.
This staging area borders 3 of our fence line
paintball fields so you can watch and take
pictures of the action, while still under the
comfort of the shaded roofing area. Our pro
shop has a variety of cool gadgets for all of
your paintball needs. We just purchased another
monster toy… a 24,000lb Turbo Diesel, 4x4 John
Deere 710D Back Hoe to transform the landscape
every year into a new, dynamic, ever-evolving
playground. With our Heavy-Duty 16,500lb
capacity forklift we often move around the 20ft
shipping containers… so even the CQB never gets
too static. TAG Paintball is constantly
changing, growing, and evolving to keep the game
fresh and exciting… whether you come once, or
are a regular player here at our park… there’s
always something new, fresh and exciting to make
playing paintball more fun!

Bad-Land’s -
By far... the
largest course TAG offers. There’s lots of room
for maneuvers, movement, strategy and tactics.
So much brush, that you can hide see a battalion
from another. This is the ultimate ‘Hunting
Field’ and is not for the faint of heart. You
had better consult with your doctor before
venturing on this course. On 24hr scenario play
days, we simply combine this with ‘No-Man’s
Land’ into one HUGE field. These Riverbed
courses typically are not played in our 3-hr
sessions due to size and distance. |

Barren Straight -
This field is
for small (intimate) sized groups. The two teams
start on two completely different types of
terrain. One side starts off with lots of brush
that offers ‘concealment’; the other side,
starts in an embankment that offers complete
‘cover’. The two sides are separated by a
Kill-Zone (KZ) that no team would dare to
cross…or would they?! The first team to cross
over the KZ will ‘breach’ the other side and
swipe through their defenses. WINTER NOTE: This
course is prone to flooding, and therefore, not
playable in the rainy season.

CQB: Close
Quarters Battlefield -
This course is
one of California’s favorite fields in the
state. It is so dynamic, that SWAT teams come
and train on it during the week (not open for
general public on training days) with their
flash-bangs and simunition rounds. This course
uses about a dozen shipping containers (about
$3k each) that we plasma cut door and window
openings in them. These 8’x20’ ‘buildings, have
walls, floors, and ceilings, for the true effect
of URBAN combat. Some even have partitions on
the inside, to add extra excitement. This is the
PERFECT course to use your paint grenades in!!!
This is a World’s First; a truly modular
design…with the help of the largest forklift in
the county (Hyster 165T, that lifts 16,500lbs)
that we own. We fire up this monster of a beast
off road forklift and move the course around
every 90 days, so it never gets static or
boring. We are constantly on the lookout for
more containers (let us know if you know of any,
please) and are always adding to the CQB. When
we have enough, we will start stacking them on
top of another to add a 2nd floor
dimension. To add a little more realism (as if
there isn’t enough) we placed a bombed out car
in the middle. Then placed cement forms (like in
‘Tour of Duty’). Just because we are just so
crazy with excitement, we added ditches and
trenches and fox holes on it to add more
variety. THIS IS TRULY A 5-STAR FIELD!!

The Crucible -
This course is
constructed completely of high impact polymer
strapped barrels. It was specifically designed
to be our “Introductory Course” and will be the
1st course every player will start
their session with. It is extremely close to our
support staff (we can be there ‘on-the-spot’ for
you, should any need arise). If the action gets
too intense, you can ‘tap-out’ and be in a safe
zone within a short distance. This has a small
footprint (100x100) to keep every player tight
with team-mates. This course has the unique
features of being very user-friendly…every
bunker can support a STANDING, full sized adult,
without the need for bending or crouching. The
bunkers are also placed remarkably close, so
maximum movement can easily be achieved with
minimal experience. Everyone can feel a sense of
accomplishment of advancement, even if a ‘tag’
is not achieved initially. This is 1 of 3
‘Fence-Line’ Fields that spectators can view and
take photos under the comfort of the awnings.
This course is unique to Northern/Central
California to TAG.

|
Desert Dunes -
Just like the
name suggests…lots of “Dunes”. This course is
different from the rest in the fact that it is
not flat, but rolling. Because of this, your
legs will get a real workout (better stretch
before/after playing this course)! Tip: Keep
your gun out of the sand. We made this field
just to add even more variety to your playing
experience. This course is unique in the fact
that you can change your elevation of shooting
position…it is the ONLY “BUNKER” you are allowed
to climb (per insurance regulations). Since
your ‘line-of-sight- is broken up, you will have
to rely on hearing more than vision…and since it
is played on soft (non-noise making) sand…it can
get REAL intense, up close and personal like.

Fox Hole City -
Ever wonder what
it is like to share a Fox Hole with a partner
waiting for the impending attack? That’s what we
wondered, too. Now there’s no need to wonder
what it’s like…you can actually live the
experience. This course has Fox Holes
everywhere!! Jump from hole to hole…like a
prairie-dog...advancing towards your objective;
under the ever-watchful eye of other predators.

|
|
No Man’s Land -
By far, the
largest course TAG offers. There’s lots of room
for maneuvers, movement, strategy and tactics.
So much brush, that you can hide see a battalion
from another. This is the ultimate ‘Hunting
Field’ and is not for the faint of heart. You
had better consult with your doctor before
venturing on this course.
 |
|
Ridge Line -
This Riverbed
Course has the unique feature of being on a
“Split Level”, played equally on both levels
(giving way to the name “Ridge” Line). Both
levels have lots of brush for concealment and
cover. It is a medium sized course and can host
a good number of different tactics and planning.
Because of the different ‘levels’ of play,
strategic planning is paramount…get it wrong,
and your team loses a crushing defeat. Plan it
right, and your team slices through the
opponents with ease. This course can be combined
with the Bad-Lands and No-Man’s Land for an
EXTREME scenario!!
 |
|
Sherwood Forest -
This is one of
the most memorable Riverbed Courses, due to the
fact that half of the course has trees that are
green year round! In the green season, the
foliage is so thick that the sunlight never
reaches the forest floor. This is NOT the time
to use tinted lenses…it is just too dark inside.
The SMALL forest is in the middle of the course
separating a raised shelf of Fox Holes. On the
other side of the SAMLL forest is another raised
shelf of thick brush. This is a slow play,
hunting course that has no man made obstacles
(INTENSE!). As far as diversity…this field has
it all.
 |
|
Spools -
This is 3rd
course that is played. It has the same footprint
of 100x100, however offers a new
dimension…different sized bunkers. This favors
those players who aren’t afraid to use different
stances and body positions (smaller players
usually excel at this). Spools are a very common
course in California, many parks have them.
Something that players now have to contend with
is the ‘shape’ of the bunkers…they ‘taper-in’ at
the bottom. This allows unexpected shots not
before experienced at your feet. More initial
eliminations happen to these extremities. Keep
your feet in! This is the 3rd and
last course that is played before players take a
break from playing. It is the last ‘fence-line-
field that spectators can view and take
photographs under the comfort of the awnings.

|
Steel Drum Field (aka The “Raucous” Field)
-
This is the 2nd
course that will be played in your session. This
course has the same footprint (100’x100’) as The
Crucible, however, instead of using high impact
polymer strapped barrels, this one uses loose
metal drums (hence, the name – Raucous). This
adds a completely new element that makes this
course unique from all others…a high noise
factor. When shooting at the steel drums that
opponents are hiding behind, the steel drums
will make so much noise that it will interrupt
the communications with their team mates…THAT is
the time to move on them! You can use your
paintball gun to create a ‘fog of war’ in your
opponents. This is a terrific lesson of using
your paintball gun as a tool of ‘manipulation’,
not simply eliminating opponents. This course
has fewer bunkers and is more s-p-r-e-a-d o-u-t.
This was designed intentionally, to aid in the
‘evolutionary process’; giving players a little
more visibility and freedom of mobility. This is
a two-edged sword…this ‘loosening the play’ can
cause loss of contact with team mates. This
course is the 2nd ‘Fence-Line Field’
that borders the Staging Area so spectators can
watch and take photos from the comfort of the
awnings. This course is unique to
Northern/Central California.

WWI Trench Field -
This has been a
dream of ours for years!! We were doing an
‘Extreme Makeover’ project by buying the LARGEST
back-ho that John Deere makes, a 710D (we didn’t
want the Hyster 165T to be lonely with the
‘biggest in the county’ title). We started
transforming the landscape, (we couldn’t think
of a more impactful terrain modification).
Another Northern/Central California Exclusive,
an award winning, 5-STAR RATING FIELD!!
We rimmed the
edges with sandbags to prevent dirt from falling
back in trenches, or on players. It is deep
enough for adult sized players to stand in them
(excess dirt piles add to height…still in OSHA
regulation compliance). This is truly a ‘Hunting
Field’, where a lot of snap shooting takes
place. Lots of head shots (plugging ‘gophers’
per se). The bottom is pure soft sand, so during
winter rains, it will drain out before you can
even put away your umbrella!! This is one of the
favorites by all players. …AND THIS IS JUST THE
BEGINNING!!!

|
XO Field -
The reason for
the name…when you look at it from a “‘Bird’s Eye
View”…it looks like an “X” and an “O” (hence
“XO”). TAG offers another unique course in
California. This is the Roland’s favorite
course. “I like it because it allows me to
change my style of play suitable to the
opponent’s positions in an instant. I can run to
gain ground, or drop low and sneak along ‘under
their radar’ and pop up to snap shoot the
unexpected! The cylindrical shape allows me to
‘wrap’ the top half of the bunker while the
lower half is completely protected from incoming
fire.” We have added another element to the
shape, smaller widths. Instead of the
traditional 8’x8’ sized bunker footprint, we
have introduced 4’x4’. This allows for, 1) Less
players in each bunker, and 2) faster reaction
(movement) times around the bunkers. Try
it…you’ll see why it is SO fun to play…and
Roland’s favorite!
